The Removal of Debts-Lord Mars

Lord Mars is depicted as a God with a red body as the natural color of the astronomical body in the sky. 

Mars in Vedic Astrology rules over  courage, discipline, sibling, assets like land, agriculture, real estate business,  etc.

Mars stays in each sign for about 45 days and takes one and half years to complete a zodiac cycle.

॥ऋणमोचन मंगल स्तोत्र॥
मंगलो भूमिपुत्रश्च ऋणहर्ता धनप्रद:।
स्थिरासनो महाकाय: सर्वकामविरोधक: ॥१॥

He who grants good life, he who is the son of the earth,
He who wipes away debt, he who blesses with wealth,
He who has a stable seat, he who a gross body,
And he helps in carrying out all duties.

लोहितो लोहिताक्षश्च सामगानां कृपाकर:।
धरात्मज: कुजो भौमो भूतिदो भूमिनन्दन: ॥२॥

He who is reddish. He who is red eyed,
He who is merciful to those who sing Sama Veda,
He who is son of earth, He who is mars,
He who is born of earth, he who is kind to all,
And he who gives happiness to planet earth.

अङ्गारको यमश्चैव सर्वरोगापहारक:।
वृष्टे: कर्ताऽपहर्ता च सर्वकामफलप्रद: ॥३॥

He who is like a burning ember, he who is the one who controls,
He who cures all diseases, He who causes or stops rain,
And he who helps us fulfills all our wishes.

एतानि कुजनामानि नित्यं य: श्रद्धया पठेत्।
ऋणं न जायते तस्य धनं शीघ्रमवाप्नुयात् ॥४॥

He who reads daily these names of mars with devotion,
Is never bothered by debts and earns money quickly.

धरणीगर्भसम्भूतं विद्युत्कान्तिसमप्रभम्।
कुमारं शक्तिहस्तं च मङ्गलं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥५॥

I salute that Mangal who is born out of earth,
Who is like a streak of lightning,
Who is a lad and who carries Shakthi.

स्तोत्रमङ्गारकस्यैतत्पठनीयं सदा नृभि:।
न तेषां भौमजा पीडा स्वल्पापि भवति क्वचित् ॥६॥

To the king like person who reads this prayer of Mars always
The bad effects of the son of earth, will not affect even a little.

अङ्गारक महाभाग भगवन् भक्तवत्सल।
त्वां नमामि ममाशेषमृणमाशु विनाशय: ॥७॥

Oh God who burns like ember, who is a great God,
Who is very merciful to his devotees, my salutations to you,
And I request, please destroy all my loans completely.

ऋणरोगादिदारिद्रयं ये चान्ये चापमृत्यव:।
भयक्लेशमनस्तापा नश्यन्तु मम सर्वदा ॥८॥

Please always destroy debts, diseases, poverty,
Untimely death, fear, sufferings and mental turmoil .

अतिवक्रदुरारा भोगमुक्तजितात्मन:।
तुष्टो ददासि साम्राज्यं रुष्टो हरसि तत्क्षणात् ॥९॥

You are crooked, difficult to worship,
You grant salvation to those enjoy,
And also to those who control their senses,
And if you are pleased you grant a kingdom,
And if you are angry take it back immediately.

विरञ्चि शक्रविष्णूनां मनुष्याणां तु का कथा।
तेन त्वं सर्वसत्वेन ग्रहराजो महाबल: ॥१०॥

You have done like this to Brahma, Indra and Vishnu,
And is there a need to tell about human beings,
And due to this you are the king of planets and very strong,
And you would give everything to those who pray to you.

पुत्रान्देहि धनं देहि त्वामस्मि शरणं गत:।
ऋणदारिद्रयदु:खेन शत्रुणां च भयात्तत: ॥११॥

Please give me son, please give me wealth,
I am surrendering to you only and so please,
Remove debts, poverty, sorrow and fear from enemies.

एभिर्द्वादशभि: श्लोकैर्य: स्तौति च धरासुतम्।
महतीं श्रियमाप्नोति ह्यपरो धनदो युवा ॥१२॥

He who worships the son of earth by these twelve verses,
Would get lot of wealth and would live like the god of wealth.

॥इति श्रीस्कन्दपुराणे भार्गवप्रोक्तं ऋणमोचन मंगल स्तोत्रम् सम्पूर्णम्॥
